Will Christians Have a Judgement When They Die?

Number to dial – 888-ASK-HANK. First up
Joe in Ocala, Florida, listening on Sirius XM 131. Hi Joe. – How you doing Mr.
Hank? First of all God bless you, we appreciate what you do sir. – Thank you. – And I’m gonna ask this question then hang up, Hank. But I appreciate you sir. – Thank you. – But I was just wondering what’s your take on do– are Christians gonna have a judgement
when they die? And I appreciate you sir. Yeah. Thank you Joe. Yeah absolutely
Christians are gonna have a judgement when they die. So there is a separation
that takes place between the sheep and the goats. Metaphors for those who
believe and those who do not believe. And then there is a judgment. You know, John
says, “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. Earth and sky
fled from his presence so there was no place for them. I saw the dead, great and
small, standing before the throne and books were opened. Another book was
opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they
had done as recorded in the books. John goes on to say the sea gave up the dead
that were in them, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and
everyone was judged according to what they had done. So there is a judgment for
what you did in this life both for the damned and for the redeemed. This is why I say often on the Bible Answer Man broadcast – what you do now counts for all
eternity. So Paul points out the foundation is
Jesus Christ. No other foundation. I think it’s 1st Corinthians chapter 3. But then
on that foundation, you can build. You can build using wood, hay, stubble. All
perishable materials, or you could build using gold,
silver, and costly stones. And the day of the Lord will show what kind of material
you were building with. And so Paul says there are some that are going to escape
the flames, as it were, as a man escapes a burning building with little more than
charred clothes upon his back. The metaphor is poignant and profound.
They’ll be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. Now think
about– we’re talking– I mean I think about my life’s work. It’s important to me. I
did a– this morning, I did a op-ed piece. I did three videos. I did a podcast. I’m
doing a broadcast. I have cancer. I’m excited about being involved in the
kingdom. But this is a very short sliver of time I’m involved in; eternity is
forever. So if you think about it logically, why not a lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not corrupt, where
thieves do not break in and steal. Or followed the instruction of Jesus. “Behold,
I come quickly, my reward is with me. And I give to everyone according to what
he’s done. Quick answer? A summation? “Yes.” You will be judged for what you have
done in this life, and you will receive rewards.

I believe there is a beautiful mystery here. Those written in the BOOK of life which is JESUS will not be judged as He paid the judgement we deserve this is why He said…..Hebrews_9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Now the BOOKS, I believe represent many people and because THEY rejected Jesus sacrifice their sins will be judged. We are not of the dead but of the living. We are the seven angels in His Hand, before His throne weeping.

Hebrews 9:27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and AFTER this comes judgment,
Romans_6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?

I think of it like this. Where you go is determined solely by whether you have genuine faith in Jesus and has nothing to do with works. (Though it seems genuine faith will produce at least some works.) However one's experience in the afterlife they've chosen can be enhanced by the works they do on Earth. The rewards and possibly even jobs we are given in heaven are a result of works.

This is why it is important to know when the rapture of the Church will occure. It's clear that some will be taken in the twinkling of an eye. There are passages about the Church being called up and passages that pertain to the 2nd coming and most of us don't get deep enough in ture scripture to understand what passages are referring to the rapture and which passages are referring too the 2nd comming. The Bible says "know ye not that you will judge angels?" The Church (bride of Christ will be meeting Jesus in the air to take us to his father's house where he has made a place for us (Christ's Bride.) And we will forever be with the Lord. We are the saints that will be returning to earth with Jesus on white horses. They're will be a judgement of believers but it will take place in Heaven. However the believers are judges and rewarded for any good works we did. If we confess our sin God is faithful and just to forgive our sins. He throws them into the sea of forgetfulness. "THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO CONDEMNATION TWORDS THOSE IN Christ. This is the resurrection of believers who sleep in Christ. Those who are alive at that time will be changed….The 2nd comming is at the end of the great tribulation. All who will be beheaded, tortured and killed or died naturally for their belief in Christ will be raised at this time…but the rest of the dead will not be raised until after the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. These people's names are not in the Book of life.. They rejected Jesus and they will be sentenced for breaking God's law. BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO TAKE PART IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION because in the 2nd resurrection the Judgement happens. There will be some who served Jesus in the millinium and they are the sheep. They're will be those who reject Jesus even though Jesus' kingdom will be perfect. Like the garden of Eden. Then Satan will be let loose to deceive many just like he did with Eve and some will follow Satan. These are the goats.
