Nobel laureate and economist Paul Krugman told his followers on Twitter that he has been receiving suspicious emails about his ‘blockchain wallet.’ The problem is, he doesn’t have a blockchain wallet. “OK, this is extremely weird. I received an email saying that a payment has been received into my blockchain wallet. But I don’t have a blockchain wallet. Presumably, there’s some kind of fraud going on, but what?” Krugman’s audience is mostly an older crowd of people who take Keynesian economic thought seriously, but even so will his thoughts keep a series of people out of the crypto space? The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) asked the High Court of England and Wales to force Telegram’s former chief investment advisor John Hyman to testify in the case over the firm’s Grams tokens offering. The SEC’s request was revealed by documents filed by the regulator with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York yesterday. Let’s see how this all works out on Valentine’s day 2020. The Italian Society of Authors and Publishers had already started to develop the project – with the help of “La Sapienza” University of Rome and consulting company Blockchain Core. The Italian Society of Authors and Publishers has now decided to focus on the Algorand platform for its by design public nature and its high performance. Is there a single business sector that will not eventually be touched by blockchain?
